<Pete_00001> I have never used port scanning and as you can see, I am not "killed" on dalnet..... I am glad your friends find this amusing, I keep them busy attacking me so they don't bother other people... I enjoy the publicity Surely Peter Hampton's nose must have grown a whole 6 inches after this fib. Nice try Pete but NO SALE. Verifiable evidence and the facts appear to suggest that this is yet another barefaced and outright LIE! In fact it is a barefaced and outright LIE! We are pleased that Peter Hampton, President of the International Web Police and InterGOV enjoys the publicity which he is receiving. As long as he continues to commit dubious acts and mislead the public, we will continue to give him all the free publicity he could ever possibly want or need. If you would like to assist Peter Hampton and the free publicity he professes to enjoy, then we might suggest that you link to this page or tell all your friends about it. We certainly do not find this activity amusing in the least except for the ridiculous stories Peter Hampton comes out with. This kind of activity is of great concern when the International Web Police are openly trying to exploit the public which they apparently claim to have sworn to protect. We believe these people are a danger and a menace to the public in general and the sooner that someone pulls the plugs on them the better. Questionable Ethics, Hacking and Unsociable Behavior. On entering their former DalNet #web-police.org chatroom our firewalls met with a flurry of Trojanous activity with Port probes for the SubSeven Trojan on it's default 27374 Port. After detecting this activity we set up a little trap to catch the guilty parties red handed, not only were we easily able to catch them, but they were even stupid enough to publically announce their criminal activities to anyone who would listen. We even caught the President of the Web Police and InterGOV Red Handed! We opened up a telnet port on an IRC eggdrop bot to log and capture the incoming scans and connection attempts from Peter Hampton's computer. Below are the details and logs of the incident which according to Peter Hampton never even took place. [22:53] Telnet connection: pcp962888pcs.lwrnce01.in.comcast.net/1580/27374 [22:53] Telnet connection: pcp962888pcs.lwrnce01.in.comcast.net/1580/27374 Hacking Computers with Trojans. How Unethical is this? We verified this was indeed Peter Hampton's computer with a DNS Lookup on IRC and were immediately able to verify this was the case. The facts appear to make a complete mockery of the above claim "I have never used port scanning" /dns Pete_00001 ·· pete_00001 _IP_ ·· 68.58.91.122 We verified the result with a Whois Lookup and to verify that this really was Peter Hampton. Notice the nickname is a registered nickname, registered to one Peter Hampton and the nickname was also identified for with Peter Hampton's password. You might also notice the @ symbol in there which denotes that the nickname was also a channel moderator/operator in #web-police.org at the time. /whois Pete_00001 Pete_00001 President@pcp962888pcs.lwrnce01.in.comcast.net * Peter Hampton This information was captured while Peter Hampton was still living in Fishers, Indiana. Peter Hampton Peter Hampton is now presumed to be living in Florida at the below address. According to the domain registration entries for his myriad of different pseudo official sounding domain names and information received from former members. Peter Hampton Domain Name.......... interdac.com Are We The Only Ones They Scanned And Attempted To Exploit With Trojan Horse Programs? Absolutely Not!, Read On. The IRC Operators on DAL.Net were also Port scanned for Trojans on entering their #web-police.org chatroom and enforced the strict network rules regarding Port scanning and exploiting other people's computers. It is absolutely disgusting and shameful that these individuals claim to stand for law and order and flagrently break the decency rules and terms of service of both the IRC Server and their ISP Internet Service Provider's TOS Terms of Service agreement that they entered into when opening an account. It is truly despicable that these people claim to go after hackers and Internet bad guys, while on the other hand they are no better than script kiddies trying to break into people's computers with Trojans themselves. The only difference is that script kiddies have more skills and are at least honest about what they are. Did we hear anyone say the word Hypocrites? [06.02] <@Pete_00001> We are the police, but you have violated no laws and we have no complaints on you Above is a quote taken from the IRC log of the event which we recorded. You could almost call this adding insult to injury by impersonating the Police. Surely this is illegal and is clearly a case of impersonation? Below is a log of the event where Hampton's port scanner detects the honeypot we used to catch him port scanning and trying to break into computers. By acting dumb we gave him just about enough rope to hang himself with. Pete_00001 said in - #web-police.org : subseven gold detected on CowboyBob ......... Hmmmmmm, why are you questioning us sir, who are you? The President of the International Web Police and InterGOV is no longer welcome on the world's largest IRC Network and quite rightly so. Not only is he banned, he also attempted to evade the ban and further abuse the rules. These rules exist to protect the public from hackers and exploiters, isn't this what the International Web Police claim to supposedly be doing? What would an already scared victim of crime have made of all this had they entered their channel to report a crime? What would have happened if they were also infected with a Trojan Horse? It only makes us wonder how many peoples computers they may have broken into over a period of time. The funny thing here is that when you scan, it requires only 1 ping to that Port to determine whether it is open and listening or not, normally a secondary connection to that Port would be an incoming connection from the SubSeven Trojan Control Client. Basically on realizing that the machine was possibly infected by the SubSeven Trojan it was most likely tried with the SubSeven Trojan Client to try and gain complete access to the machine. It is also the most likely and logical explanation for the second connection attempt, it is unlikely that it was scanned again just to make sure that the result was correct the first time as Port scanners reporting open Ports tend not to lie. So do we have a Trojan using hacker that pokes around in other people's computers or exploits victims of crime for seemingly no reason? It is our opinion that this is most likely to be the case and as Peter Hampton, International Web Police and InterGOV President outright denied that this event ever took place (LIED), then how can anyone believe a word or any of the claims that Peter Hampton makes? We suggest that anyone takes anything which Peter Hampton says with at least a 2lb pinch of salt. Furthermore the below also makes a mockery of his claim at the top of the page "as you can see, I am not "killed" on dalnet" This makes two lies in one sentence. ** Pete_00001 (President@pcp962888pcs.lwrnce01.in.comcast.net) (12:23:09) *** Quits: Pete_00001 (Pete_00001@68.58.91.122) See Also: Partner in questionable activities Redonna Leppela |
